A promise is an intended action that will be performed
At a later date and a more convenient time;
It is usually known whom the recipient will be,
And there is always great joy in its performance.
But there are times when persons make promises,
And never with the intention of fulfilling it,
But rather to let themselves out of a situation,
By making the other feel good about the promise.
This is usually a recipe for disaster,
As constantly making promises you can’t or won’t keep,
Only makes you appear less loyal and trusting,
And you will wind up being the loser,
With a mouthful of promises,
