It is always tempting to imagine the things,
You would do if given the chance,
All the opportunities, the dreams coming true,
Everything you need at a first glance.
There is the impatience of waiting,
Until things work themselves out,
We count the time and check the hours,
Never once exercising doubt.
But things have a way of happening,
Differently than you would expect,
And you are left to wonder,
Whether it was all a test.
There is now the disappointment,
Of watching a dream come to an end,
For it never once crossed your mind,
That it is wise to get before you spend.
