Aero India is a biennial aviation exhibition held in India. It is considered as the second biggest airshow event in the world. Paris air show is the largest event of this category.

The main organizer of the Aero India show is the Defence Exhibition Organisation under  the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Major other government agencies/ departments like Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Civil Aviation Ministry, Department of Space etc extend their support in organizing the event. The airshow has become one of the premier exhibitions in aerospace. The show commenced in the year 1996 and has so far held 11 aerospace exhibitions. 

The numbers of exhibitor companies, participating countries and visitors have been increasing steadily, year after year.  Aero India show acts as a platform for introducing latest developments in aerospace. The show brings together manufacturers, service providers and buyers.  The exhibition  presents a major business opportunity to all stake holders making it a hub centre for defence business. Fast growing Indian economy, more thrust on defence activities, opening up of defence sector to private participants and Make India programme have added more impetus to the show. Various seminars, conferences and product launches take place during the exhibition. 

The 11th edition of the Aero India show is taking place at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangaluru, India.from 14 to 18 February 2017. More than 750 companies are participating in the latest edition. Delegations from 109 countries are also expected.
